Faculty and students from the GT-Bionics Lab brought home awards from the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM), held October 23-28, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. Ghovanloo and his team received a Most Impactful Rehabilitation Technology Award for their development of “A Multimodal Tongue Drive System,” or mTDS for short, at the Inaugural Rehab Tech Innovation Competition, which was part of the ACRM conference.
On Monday, April 13, 2015 the Opportunity Research Scholars' (ORS) Program held its annual Research Awards Banquet celebrating the accomplishments of the research competition winners from the 2014-15 academic year. The research team from GT-Bionics Lab received the Second Place Research Award. Congratulations to Dr. Ghovanloo (Faculty Advisor), Seyedabdollah Mirbozorgi (Post-Doc Mentor), and undergraduate team members, Daniel Canales, Morgan Tinkler, and Iris Colendrino for their excellent work. The team was sponsored by the Texas Instruments.
Congratulations to Temi for winning the best student paper competition award at the IEEE EMBC'14. Temi was also awarded a travel award at the Georgia Tech Research and Innovation Conference 2014. Temi’s winning abstract/poster was titled “A Wireless, Wearable Neckwear System for Health Monitoring”. Congratulations Temi! All of us here at the GT Bionics lab are proud of you!
Hangue Park and Jeonghee Kim won Best Demo at the 2012 IEEE BioCAS Conference.
